Is anybody listening ?

Is anybody listening ? is a composition for 3 children’s electronic orchestras.

This work was commissionned byt the École Nationale de Musique de Villeurbanne, and created with the artistic support of GRAME.

Premiered on March 31, 2023, during the festival Explorations numériques at ENM, this piece serves a dual artistic and pedagogical purpose.

Is anybody listening ? is a sincere question, fueled by the bitterness felt when facing the absurdity of an old world that is slow to fade away. How can I not ask this question, when faced with the immense responsibility of having to create a work that must be championed by the representatives of a very young generation? How can I not be worried, and yet at the same time convinced that they will have to confront this painful question?
